About

I never, ever thought I would start a blog. There's still something about having one that terrifies me. But I started this blog after realizing three things: 1) I have a passion for IndyCar racing, 2) I have no one else really to share this passion with, and 3) there are many IndyCar blogs out there already so why not add one more?

I am not and at this time I don't plan to be a full-time blogger like some others out there, some of whom are excellent writers that I aspire to emulate. I have a full-time job that demands much of my time, so my free time for writing is limited. I'm not going to claim that this will be an amazing blog full of unique insight and insider information. It's just my opinion, and you can take it or leave it. What makes this particular blog unique? Probably nothing. I'm a professor of speech communication so that's the angle from which I will usually write. I'm also female so that may add a different perspective. I'm definitely not a car person--I know very little about the technical aspects of vehicles. I just like the racing and the personalities. In 2016 I incorporated the "three stars of the race" and the three stories of the race, because I am also an avid hockey fan. As an active reader of many things IndyCar, I thoroughly enjoy reading others' comments and I hope to connect with other IndyCar fans through this endeavor.

So for now that's a little about me. This will continue to be a work in progress and I welcome your feedback, as long as it's not full of nasty personal attacks. Enjoy, and go IndyCar!
